A Grave Service: Locating deceased Australian relatives

As people travelled around the world, some of our relatives may have ended up in places such as Sydney, Australia. Finding family history information on travelling relatives may have been impossible without the advent of the internet, but thankfully more and more sites are coming online, offering us the chance to track down members of our overseas family tree branches.

One such site is Rookwood

Rookwood Cemetery has been operating since 1867, and is one of the largest cemeteries in Australia. The Anglican and General Cemetery Trusts are responsible for the burial, care and maintenance of 92 hectares of Rookwood, approximately one-third of the cemetery.

Rookwood now offers a grave search, allowing us another avenue to explore in our genealogical quest.
