Event planning: Venues

After you have finished collecting all your quotes and information from your venues, you will need to make a decision about who to use. This could be based on a number of factors and the biggest deciding factor will be you and your personal preferences.

But what do you do after you have made the decision?

Well the first thing you need to do is after you've seen the venue in person (don't rely on publicity shots) is to tell the other venue's they weren't successful.

Remember the old adage "treat other people as you would expect to be treated" well this is one of those times. These are businesses, and businesses need to make money, so they will need to release any holds on the rooms they had placed for you so they can offer them to other clients.

Of course if you are using a planning service, they will do those things for you. But just in case you are doing everything yourself, add this item to your to do list.
